hey guys bck very briefly to post a poem i madfe up walking home one rainy day
kinda based on the refrain of walking in the air

    walking through the streets
    the villagers like shadows pass
    and everything is grey
    and raindrops fall like glass.
    walking through the streets
the silent cars go by like dreams
    and darkness fades to night
    and nothing's what it seems.
    walking through the streets
the noises now are slow and calm
    like being rocked to sleep
    in someone else's arms.
    walking through the streets
the sidewalk seems to go so far
    and slowly you look up
    and wish on every star.
    walking through the streets
the trees, they seems to lean and hush
    and gently fall asleep
as if you've wished too much.
    walking through the streets
now everything is like a dream
    and darkness fades to night
    and nothing's what it seems.

Ink: Well, it isn't a literary fandom, so that may be what's misleading you! Battlestar Galactica '03.

I like yours. It has an interesting flow to it.

Trialia: I get the feeling I should know it! But I've read so many books that it won't come to me. Care to give a hint? lol

This one just kind sprang from my fingers in that weird way creativity does.

    Fears

This one is... kind of fanfic-poetry, but not for this fandom. Cookie for anyone who can figure it out. And no, it doesn't rhyme, but the cadence works, I think...

Laid grey, stone on stone, to the ground.
She is so pale now, gone elsewhere,
to a place you cannot follow yet.

    You know she will wait.
    It's what she believes
and now, because of her, you.

    You'll see her there,
in a week or a month or a year.
Every day without her is harder than the last.

    You see it everywhere,
that grey-green colour of her eyes,
and every sight means something -
    just as everything does.

    It's as she said:
"so much life," and you feel
that letting yourself fade out like this
may be a betrayal of all she wanted for you.

It doesn't help you to stop hurting,
nor help you to hang on.
    Life without her is nothing.

    We Are Lost
We are lost, those who cannot chose
are lost so we are all lost in our
path to life. If we do not lose
now we surely will soon. The power
of life is not some gift to be given
but instead is a curse for no matter
what happens we lose; we are driven
to try to defy death, one splatter
of rain in a monsoon, we are lost.

    Would I
Would I be crazy if I say
we shall all die this day
Would I be nuts if I jump
from fear of a simple bump
    Or would you be crazy
    to call me a lazy
    person with so much time
    that I make lines rhyme
In the end none of these
    are relevant for the peas
    have answered "Yes I would"
    And also "Yes I should"

    Dreams
    Creatures of all sizes lurk
in the dark places if our minds
just when they reach we jerk
back into reality to see the blinds
have a light shining out from
    Bioluminescent fish and realize that
it wants to swim to the place we come
from. when we leap and go splat
right into the middle of an endless war
from which there is no fleeing
but a sudden pain that is more
than a pain. you wake up seeing
a floor and decide never to to go
into the dream world again even
though it would mean there is no
more sleep until you are leavin'
this life in that permanent sleep

    here is

my other poem it should be pretty cool at least i thought so
If a person has an aura
    Then so should their house
in My house some rooms are pure white
The white is innocent like a mouse
In the others they are as black as night
The black is sly like a fox
Like a snake in a box

The white is like an angel
    With magnificent wings
The black is like a death toll
    Silently it rings

The black is like a villain
    With his sword
    The white is a savior
    That I adored

Here's a new one I just came up with. Kind of personal, but whatever.

    Friendly Poison
    Innocent smiles
    Bright shining eyes
    Not seeing the poison
    That beneath it all lies
Not knowing the fate of a friendship new-born

Together they fight for familial ties
Yet together their rights are smothered in lies
Then towards the end the fights turn around
They battle each other, standing their ground
    Again they grapple
    And again they reconcile

But never again can sure trust be reached
For now the poison has through it all seeped
    As they grow ever distant
    Through time and through space
    The poisoned friendship
    Shall always remain

    Staining their lives
    In the future and past
    Lurking within
    Forever keeping its grasp

    Lost broken smiles
    Darkness filled eyes
    Now seeing the poison
    That beneath it all lies
Now morning the fate of a friendship new-born

Ink, that's awesome, star wars for the win XD

and here's something i wrote that may sound decently dark, but i like how it turned out

unchecked the coals of darkness smolder
    without detection growing bolder
    visible in mirror's reflected light
always lurking just out of sight

the forgotten three, they long to be
set loose on the world, bereft of light
destruction as far as the eye can see
the first step lies within their sight.

    the worlds defenses not withstanding
the tides of darkness soon unending
    the mirror slowly breaking down
into millions of pieces on the ground.

the boundaries that hold the monster within
    slowly eroding,growing thin
    the darkness slowly now arises
cloaked in shadow, in many disguises

soon the unities will not be spoken
friend from friend, bonds will be broken
disruption from behind the shadow door
    a world in darkness forevermore

Other than on here of course.
here I've been searching through the various posts on ablemuse.com, but here am struggling to connect with any of the work on there, and my feeling is that they wont appreciate mine in return.here If any one knows any similar sites operating in the UK with mostly British members, I'd really appreciate it.

So many amazing poems posted here recently, I can't even list all of them! I've been lurking in this topic a bit, reading, and it's a lot of amazing stuff!

I haven't posted here in a forever and a half (I'd forgotten this topic existed, nearly), so I decided to post something I wrote a little while ago. Not sure if it's a poem or a song, perhaps a mixture of both.

I was feeling a bit sad one day, remembering all of those who have passed away in the past years - my grandfather, my best friend's dad, my mom's friend's husband; and all of the people who have been hurt by having to leave relationships, and everyone I knew who's felt lonely. So, I just started writing on my computer late at night, and this is what it turned into.

    Lost

The last two actually reference the SW universe. The second one was about Jaina in Dark Journey. And the third one was about the legacy series. The first one was just something random.
