Hmmmm... I know I've had some geeeky moments... Thinking. oh, one time, in like 6 grade, we had study time before a test on the brain. My friends adn I went to study and I was quized first. i ran of all of the facts in, like, two minutes and they were staring at me. then they were all "juliann's a Compputer Brain." and went to tell the whole class about it. no one let me forget it for weeks.

OH! this one's slightly funny...In a weird freaky sort of way...i once had my science class, or at least the students around me, break into a discussion of all the carreers i might have in the future...the word scientist was bradied around quite a bit, i think...
        I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

          Hi,

I have a pretty funny geeky moment... Though before I tell it, I should say that at times I can be somewhat of a ditz, I have moments where I speak before I think and everything comes out very, very wrong. This moment was not the case.

Me and four friends were talking about some things that annoyed us, pet peeves perhaps? And I said,
"One thing that bothers me is when a fairly privileged friend, who has her problems, but nothing major to complain about, acts as if she has the worst life in the world. Especially if this friend acts as if they have so much more going on with their lives than a mutual friend between the two of you. And then concludes that they are a better person. This really gets under my skin, because there are so many more people in this world that have it so much harder than all three of us. And if that mutual friend is truly going through a lot, and the friend you are talking with is just being dramatic... Well here.. Like the transitive property in geometry, if freind B has a harder life than friend A. And person C has a harder life than friend B, then person C has a harder life than friend A."

I said this, the crowd falls silent, and I go,
          "Wow that was reaaaalllyy nerdy...."
And then we all started to laugh. It was pretty funny...

Nerdy is when I know more about fixing the library's computers than the guy they pay to do it.

Nerdy is commiserating with one of our patrons because our computers at the library aren't good enough to play the streaming audio/video for Weird Al's song "White and Nerdy".

Nerdy is everyone in our RPG group exchanging really bad quotes every Saturday at the weekly game.

            Shall I continue?

I've definitely had my moments, but I can't really think of anything specific...

I thought it was interesting how when I was taking chemistry that the thing I was best at was stochiometry. NO one in class was any good at it besides me and the super smart guy. (Although I completely forgot how to do all of that...the other day my sister was doing her chem homework at home and she had some stochiometry problems and they made NO sense to me...so mom had to help her out because mom's taking chem too)

I think I'm actually really smart, I'm just so damn lazy that it gets in the way...

(Ok, so this post didn't come out the way I was expecting it to...)

I wonder if nerdy is when you go to the library with a list of books they should add to it...

Well I Don't know YR. i am always suggesting books to my library . Not that they ever listen. but my friends would probably think so. Geeky/ nerdy people never really can tell if they're acting nerdy, can they. to us, it's just normal.

If it is, then I qualify. In fact, one of my nerdiest moments was about a month ago, when the librarian asked my friends and I what kind of books we thought they needed. So my friend and I went through the fiction section writing down all the books they needed to finish sets of series. Like, they had books 1 and 3 of a series, but not 2, 4 or 5. Bah.

                    Ahem.

And also in year 10 Japanese class, our teacher was giving us listening skills practice.
He says this: "Gakkoo de, momoiro kutsu o kite wa ikemasen. "
Before he's finished the last word, I say: "You're not allowed to wear shoes to school?"
                    Everyone else: *stares*
Bright star that was, dark star that falls, in your downward arc we greet you. Do your poor worst!

Noboddy have actually called me nerdy...two people in my life have called me a dork as a jok,e and one person has called me a geek as a compliment...but i've never actually had anything like that directed at me...and my school library has too small a fantasy section! it's just a small section of the library, and a few shelves, dedicated to all fiction books they have....Of course, i've got a library two bocks from my house...and i guess i had a slightly geeky moment when i actually got excited that there was a second library only a few more blocks a way where i could get some of the non-requestable books i haven't had access too...
                          I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

I've had that sort of thing lately. Everyone now assumes just beacause I actually do my work that I know all the answers...and I sorta do becuase it feels like I'm the only one in the class reading the material D:

Anywho, it happened today in fact. I have a paper to write for my english and history class and the people in my class asked my what I wrote my theme statement on and how long it was and if I had already done my annotated bibliography. Then I got asked the all important question of what did I make on the latest history exam. I told them what I made and one of the guys in the group was like "I beat you" I looked at him and said "at least I know I still have an A average"...I don't really like people who ask me stuff like that just to see if they are smarter than people who actually work hard. Sorry for the rant sort of...but yeah, that happened today before lunch.
Just my luck, they ran out of cookies again!

I have a demon cat that was spawned from Satan.

My friend got a ninty nine. she wanted to gloat slightly, since she had been so panicky abou it earlier, and found out she actually knew it, which i understand...She the mistake of coming up to me, and starting with the line "what did you get?"
                                i go "a hundrd"
                                She goes "i got-what! a hundred! you-you!"
                                it was slightly funny...
