This one's fairly small - the Ford Ka - is it the one you meant? I think it's longer than it used to be. These photos might be clearer.

There was a smaller car in an episode of Absolutely Fabulous, but I don't know the name of it, so it's hard to search Google for it .

Actually, I heard of an electrical car that didn't even have to be plugged. It mixed Hydrogen with somthn else and then did a little somthing something and suddenly your tank is full.

Runing a car off the mains (admittedly with the aid of a bettery) isn't enviromentally friednly. Most electricty is produced by the bruning of fossil fuels, which produces vast amounts of carbon dixoide, the most major greenhouse gas. In the USA, it's even worse, as they have so many coal-burning power stations, which prodcue nitrious oxides and sulphu dixoide - which cause acidic rain.
You might think the use of hydorgen fuel cells which db_pr mentioned is clean, as they only produce water as awaste product. However, the hydrogen is made by passing electricity through water - so they actually have all the disadvantages outlined above.

My conclusion? Clean car travel can only come about with clean electricty. Roll on nuclear fusion...

The car I saw was slightly smaller than the ford ka but it looked very close to the same.
Wow wilf that's a very good idea. Clean energy. How about solar powered cars? They already have those but it'd be such a cool idea if people could come up with a smaller solar power chip to put on the cars. They're so big!

I looked through a DVD of that TV series, Absolutely Fabulous, and found a picture of the car I was thinking of. I saved it here but all I know about what it is is that it says "Smart" on the back of it.

lol, yes. I'm listening to California Uber Alles by the Dead Kennedys. Now that Blink 182 sucks more than ever, and Rancid has sold themselves to MTV, I gotta get alternatives. They rock, though. I heard NoFX also did a song with Uber Alles, but it said "Las Vegas Uber Alles"
