Mangos are good! So are kiwis, and cantaloupes
Yes. Kiwis are very good. very, very cool people.
I shoudl know. I am one. call it a kiwifruit, you mad Americans, and we wouldn't have this fruit issue.

I will now leave you with a few words:

"These are the days of miracles and wonder
this is the long distance call
the way the camera follows us in slo-mo
the ay we look to us all..."

And also,
"And when she's walking she's looking so fine
and when she's talking she'll say that she's mine
she'll see I'm not so tough
just because
i'm in love
with an Uptown Girl!"

music!
Go ahead! Panic! Do it now and avoid the June rush! Fear death by water!

If Kiwis are from NZ, where are mangos from?
Personally, I love virtually all fruit - the only exception I can think of is pineapple. Given the chance, I eat very little that isn't fruit. (I would eat nothing else, but would run a bit low on various nutrients if I did).

I clicked on reply at the wrong moment, and the edit button seems to be failing me...
My interests: friend, maths, sub-nuclear physics, history of England post-Romans to 1066, physical geograph, climatology, ocenaology, British falcons & hawks, English "non-league" football, reading esp. sci-fi and Fantasy, computers, websurfing, clarinet, piano, organ singing, music, bell-ringing, hockey (field), stage lighting, finding out things.... I think that's it. Probably missed something though.

Four cats, Z. Four!!!

Fruit. Is. Good.

If you want to argue with that, I might get mad at you.

I like to read and draw. I like math. A lot. My favorite class is Science, but only because we don't do anything. If you look at the actualy course *shudders* you don't want to have my Science teacher. We learn NOTHING, and what we do learn is crap. "Owls don't eat mice because mice come out in the day and owls in the night." I'll tell you what's crap! That's CRAP!!!!!! Rah rah rah rah. My science teacher needs to be fired. And she gives us stupid 'CRYPTOS!!!' Cryptos are puzzles where one letter equals another. This last one was near impossible. The only reaseon I got it was because I noticed that a certain three letter word kept on apearing. So I put that as 'THE.' And if I remember right, a Q meant E. Next I found a long word with the same amount of letters as 'ATMOSPHERE' that had Q twice at the end. Another word found! After that, it got a bit easier.

Exactly!!! Mice are just about all owls eat, and here my science teacher says the opposite. Rah!!!

My Spanish teacher is evil. I hate him so bad! He makes all of the students feel terrible. He shouts and says caustic comments. Grrr. If someone walks to the front of the classroom to get a tissue, he yells at them. Jokingly yes, but in a harsh way. Everyone that I talk about him to agrees. Everyone! And when he picks on students, it hurts. I'm not saying all of this because he picks on me. In fact, I'm never the target. One kid I'll call 'Bob' got the best grade in the first marking period because he turned in his extra credit assignment (worth 30 points) and came in halfway through the marking period. Because he was in first, he got put on my Spanish teacher's 'End-of-the-Year Pizza Party" board. Whenever Bob gets something wrong, he says "How'd you get up there [the board]?" And it's all the time!!! Everyday! Mostly because whenever Spanish Teacher has a hard question, he calls on Bob. Not because he's smart, but to make fun of him. Rah!!! Bob isn't the only one who gets that kind of treatment.

That's sick. I got a teacher who's not like that yet I and everybody hates her. She has to have everrything her way and when it's clear she's wrong or something, she punishes us!

All Spanish teachers are weird...And lots of other ones too. I think it's the fact that they spend way too much time at school and have to drink WAY too much coffee to stay awake. And they don't get paid very much... Ugh. I don't want to be a teacher.

LINKIN PARK RULZ!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway. Now that I've got that out... I dunno, for me, there's a lot of emotion in Linkin Park's music. I don't pay so much attention to how it's written and composed or anything... For rock music in particular, it's all about the IMPACT it has on me, the EMOTION.

Ever felt the Soundwurm? ^^ The soundwurm is great. That's when a song hits you right at the heart, and... Nothing else exists, nothing else matters while that song is playing- It's just you and that song. Different people get the soundwurm with different music- I get a lot of it from rock and Linkin Park especially (My December, Somewhere I Belong, Numb), because my negative emotions are very strong, and it feels awesome when the lyrics march along with your thoughts. Alastair gets the soundwurm from stuff like "Castles In the Sky," techno-trance-dream stuff. The soundwurm is awesome.

How can I not love Linkin Park, when their lyrics are so similar to my own thoughts? It's really... emotion-packed, for me. ^^ I love Linkin Park.

I just joined the board today and saw this thread as a perfect way of introducing myself. I've been a big fan of the Wizard books ever since I first saw So You Want to be a Wizard in the Smithbooks shop, which must have been somewhere back in the 80s. I'm so glad she picked up writing them again. I've read all of them except for A Wizard Holiday. That'll have to remain unread until I can get my other books out of the way. *sobs*

Let's see, about me. I love writing. I read a lot, including comic books; my favourite series so far are Kabuki by David Mack, and the Quicken Forbidden by Dave Roman and John Green. I play the piano and I listen to Celtic, flamenco, classical, rock and (lately) punk. I'm a bit of an anime fan too. I'm currently watching Innuyahsha and Hikaru no go. Speaking of which, I've just gotten into go. It's an interesting but complex board game.

Gwar, maliscious teachers... I've encountered more than my share. They're evil. Of course, stupid teachers are no better. I've only ever had one teacher who was actually any good, she was compassionate, and told us all fascinating anecdotes of her childhood, when she got her cat high on something or other at a party. On an unrelated note, my local Starbucks has shortcake! It's not cheesecake (which happens to be the absolutely best substance on the face of the earth) but it's goooooood...

I love sitting outside on a cloudless day with a slight breeze, just enjoying the weather. Especially now that it's springtime. Out in the backyard, the bleeding hearts have bloomed and the lilly of the valleys are in the process of blooming. I don't like the bleeding hearts because of their flowers (which happen to be really unique), but because of the way they branch out. It's almost like a minuature, graceful tree. The flowers hand in lines like the bells on Nix's necromancer bandoleirs. The heart-shaped flowes are open at the bottom with bits sticking out in the shape of a spear head or a spade. As for lily of the valleys, they have tiny, white bell shaped flowers. They're the flowers for May, which is my Birthday!

I read. A lot. A lot a lot. Angel_Star, I can see that you'd fit in here. We all read a lot. And, hehe, we're weird. Or at least I am! And we're proud of it.

Country music... Well, I like classical, Linkin Park, Coldplay, and not much else.

Something you might want to know is that I talk a lot. (Yo hablo mucho!) Thus the long posts. And I take Spanish.
