What would you be?

Surfy... give yourself time. I, myself, read in stages. Sometimes I will get on a kick of a certain type of book for a month or two.. even a year or two. After a while, you tire or ge bored with the subject and go on to something else. I wasn't able to read Tolkien until college age. Couldn't seem to read something so stuffy when I was younger.

When I was 14, I got majorly into Robert Ludlum. Great author. He has great spy thrillers. A little gorry in parts, but fascinating. I spent 2 years, off and on, reading all he ever published. Then it was onto Isaac Asimov. Strange worlds he created. Then I read.. hmmm... probably spent a lot of time on Shakespeare and all the major 'classical' authors that English classes make you read. I had the equivalent of college English classes my junior and senior year of high school.

When I went to college, I breezed through my first 2 semesters of English... I wouldn't recommend taking such difficult classes, unless you are a glutten for punishment. I could have had so much more time to spend on fun in high school. I don't remember ever having a night with less than 4 hours of homework and essays to write and notebooks to keep.

I think that I had brain freeze after that and consequently partied too much in college. *laughing* I had fun and would do it again, I think.

*edit* This message is all over the place... I think that my mind is wandering too much. I am taking a break from packing. Ahhh... Why are vacations so tiring? No, don't answer that.

...mmmmmMMMMM Sushi!

Dead on, kli. I got a book on how to make sushi from the library. We tried to do it the way it said, but just ended up with really weird suhi rice and rolls that fell apart. The sushi I had at Sake was AMAZING. Yeah, sushi refers to the rice, not the fish. Although room temperature raw fish is also pretty good.

My friend got a sushi kit, she put all kinds of stuff in it. Thats the best part about making your own sushi, you can put anything you want in it. She even put chicken in it, and its pretty good!

Ok I'm really bored so I'm digging up old topics that are good topics. This ones a good topic
I'm mad. Both of my parents have jobs that they didn't want when they were younger. My dad wanted to be an astronaut(sp?) or do something for NASA, lots of kids do but he really is good at astronomy etc. I think he also wanted to be doctor, not sure about that though. Now he's a realtor... he loves houses, he used to be the head of painting company so I guess it kinda makes sense but I don't think he likes it all that much. But he says he likes making money. *grumbles* I'd rather die then have a job I hated. Really, I could live without a lot of money if I had a job I really liked. When your older you have to go to your job everyday, unless they live with their parents... *cough* crazy history teacher *cough*. So why shouldn't you have a job you actually LIKE?? Why go to a job you hate everday? There's no point. If you have a family to support it's understandable, and my dad does have a family to support, but my stepmom is a doctor and makes enough money to support her kids and pay for the mortgage etc. And my dad says he likes to spend the money, which I don't think is really supporting...
When I'm an adult I'm not going to have a full time job I hate. NO WAY. I know that the adults on here might tell me that when your an adult I'll see things differently but I don't think I will. I think it's ok to start out with a job you don't really like but if you have a job you hate for the majority of your life... *shudders* It's wrong in my opinion...

My dad worked at NASA for a while. I don't know what he did though, actually he would still have that job if he didn't get an offer to work for 3M. One of my good friends wanted to be a astronaut, then meteorologist, make up artist, now fashion designer. I like the fashion designer idea.

No it just sounds kinda cool to do something like that. I don't know if I would want to be any of those things myself. I'm sticking with the music careers.

My old science teacher used to work for 3M... He was creepy. And insane. He said Earth was the only planet with life forms and there were no other galaxies because that's the way god wanted it. He said evolution didn't happen. All he talked aboutw as religion... He was scary... He left.

Uhhh science is a weird subject for him to teach. Yeah he is a little weird. That's kind of the problem with religious teachers and people. Some of them are not open to everybody else's beliefs!

Man, if I had that science teacher, I would have annoyed him so much.... I'd absolutely DISSECT him in a creationist vs evolutionist debate.... ^^ That sort of thing is fun, actually...

And then I'd tell him he was closed-minded. Yup. And then he'd probably toss me out of class. And I'd go to the library and do homework.

lol. You would get tossed out of class. But not go to the library at our school... You'd get an "action alert" and then you'd have to sit out in the hall for the rest of class.
Hmm... something like that happened in 5th grade... one girl argued with a visiting priest about why girls should be able to be priests for like an hour....

My science teacher is odd..... but really cool. Maybe I'll become a science teacher, or some kind of teacher. High school, definitely. I'm NOT dealing with squirrily little kids. They're cute, but I don't like little kids so much until they can talk intelligently.

I know that I'm going back to the forbidden topic (just like the forbidden forest!!! Wheee!!) but I just wanted to say:

Since I'm still in high school, I don't really have to choose a job, but I really want to, so that I can choose a good collage and fufill their requirements. Otherwise I'll be bored. ^^ Maybe a writer... or a debater... or... *goes on for an hour, ending with "maybe an angel would be nice."* Sorry, I'm really tired and I can't think straight. Just ignore me now. *smile*

Huh. Not much of a science teacher. There may not be proof yet of life on other planets, but you can see other galaxies through a telescope.
