But seriously folks, I think that it's all a matter of attitude. If you feel like you belong, then you're not a newbie anymore. Generally, when you see people starting to appear who are new and you go "Who are these people, and what are they doing posting in MY TOPIC?" then you aren't a newbie anymore. But then you get to be their friends. There are, however, certain generations of users. Tui, Aurie, Cal. and I are 1st generation, then there's Sam, Cress, Agent M (i think, could be she's a late 1st) and PPC, et. al. Then there's the 3'rd generations, who I'm not sure of yet. Of course, any of those classifications are subject to change without warning, because I'm just making things up right now.

Actually, Agent M was here before me. She's definitely our generation. The I guess you have Sam, etc, and then ppc's generation... I think that's a different generation.

It's weird... I'm a nOOb, but I feel like I know at least two people from ff.net... so.... hum. I really only started posting my first YW 'fic about four months before I signed on here, though.

But (hypothetically, since I only know two people from before) if someone already knows some people from somewhere else, and starts posting in a place where there are some of the same members, what does that make them? (And that sounded like Neo-Zen Buddhist philosophy, didn't it?)
