As for forum time-scale (sorry this is a bit late) I'm definitely first gen. I found this site before the forums were even up. Hard to believe there was ever a time when there weren't YW forums!

Actually, I've been visiting the yw.net site since LONG before I joined the forums--I was kinda afraid to try at first, because it said that all of the requests were processed manually...

EWizard11--I have that EXACT. SAME. QUIRK. except I think mine may be partially elevated by the fact I've been in music for seven years (Yeesh, what happened to the last five?)... and partially helped by the fact that most of the music I listen to (that isn't band music, anyway, and I usually listen to mangled, distorted caricatures of the actual pieces due to odd instrumentation, lack of tuning, and sitting on the far... left, from my POV, of the band all the time) is in foreign languages, and most people aren't likely to start babbling away in Japanese, or Engrish (no, that's not a typo), or Chinese (not anything that resembles Chinese song lyrics, anyway), or mangled Latin/Italian/German/what-have-you unless they're practicing for a foreign-language class.

M: yeah, that's what I thought, too, but I was getting doubts because she's younger in a lot of fanfiction, apparently, so I thought I might have missed something ^.^v.

Hi, Boomer, it's good to meet you. Welcome aboard. If you go check out the Newbie Pack topic, which is in Chatter, there's heaps of advice and stuff floating around in it.

Poot is the forum demon who stalks us and makes us post one-liners- very short posts which use up bandwidth. We try very very had not to post one-liners because, well, they cost DD money and costing DD a lot of money is not a good thing, for obvious reasons. However, despite this strange tendency of his, he's rather cute. I think there are some pictures of him earlier in the topic.
