I have had glasses since kindergarten, but I supposed I've needed them since I was born. I can't see out of my right eye due to a birth defect, so I didn't have any perscription in my glasses for the first 6-7 years I had them, they were just there as protective lenses so that I wouldnt' get poked in my left eye. Yes, my mother is paranoid. My right eye is really really bad. I don't even remember what it is. Then my left eye started going, but it's not bad I just have a bit of perscription in that lense.
I love my glasses. I can't imagine myself without them, and I don't think any of my friends could either. If I may say so, I am really good at picking out glasses that are good for my face, so I actually look a lot better with them on. I'm especially liking them now because I get out of swimming in the morning with huge goggle rings and the glasses at least minimize those. =P

interestingly eneough i have yet to encounter someone who needs glasses for the same reason i do.

i am near sighted in one eye, and far sighted in the other. generally they balance out pretty well, but i need my glasses so i can improve my depth perception and read stuff on blackboards and stuff at schoo, cause my near sighted eye has the tendency to over power my far sighted one.

Cool, you guys have glasses too? Lol. Yay, I don't feel alone. I swear glasses run in my family or something. Everyone has one.

i don't look BAD with glasses...but i look DIFFERENT and i personally prefer how i look without them...*shrugs* that's just me though. (besides, i got glasses expecting to get contacts eventually, so i've never gotten too used to them.) But that's just me, personally...*finds glasses a bit of a bother that are always getting lost*

I can understand the annoyance of glasses. When I'm just vegging around they can get uncomfortable (especially if I'm lying down reading or watching TV, they kind of dig into the side of your head), but I've had mine for so long that they're just a part of me.

Ooh, MBF is so cute. Seriously, you look really good though.

ok, 1.) I'm _supposed_ to wear my glasses, cause I'm near sighted in my left eye I think, and far sighted in my right. if not, then it's the other way around. I _don't_ wear them because they always end up either getting so scratched that I can't see outta them by the third month, or I break them by the 1st month I have them XD. 2.) am I the _only_ member that hasn't posted a pic on here? If not, please make yourself known cause I would feel a lot better about not having a pic (and yes, we do have digital Cameras here (sean), but unfortunately, I can't afford one....... yet!)

i'm always forgetting i'm wearing them...and then i start reading, and they start getting in the way more then they're helping! the second i look at something close, they're just a couple pieces of glaass that happen to be in between me and what i'm looking at! (You know, maybe we should have a glasses topic to talk about this in instead of here?)

Teehee...I never remember when I'm wearing my glasses or not. There have been days where I forget to put on my glasses and go through half a day without them and then reach up and feel my face and realize that I'm missing my glasses. I've worn them for so long it still feels like they're there.

personally, i hgave the OPPOSITE problem: i get so used to them, i FORGET i'm wearing them...*just went and created a glasses topic* maybe we should move the discussion over to there before we all get yelled at? I mean, in the last couple days, more then HALF the topicS here have been about glasses....
