I've read the entire series in order. "So you want to be a Wizard" all the way up to "Wizards at War'. I suppose I'm lucky that my local library has all the books.
"But your dark Master has neither authority nor right to judge us. Therefore stand away, lackey, and keep silent in the presence of your betters."

I read A Wizard Abroad first. I was at my grandparents in Florida, read it and when I got home I saw that the price tag was over the bit that said "_________ In the Young Wizards Series". Then I went back and read them in order. I've been hooked ever since...
I think I'll go ennoble some waffles.

I think I got DW and HW at a book sale in elementary school - fourth or fifth grade! A long time ago - long enough that they were the Corgi editions (somehow...even though I'm in the States. They even had British-style punctuation). So I read those first, and then SYWTBAW, and then everything else in order. Except maybe aWAb. I might have mixed it up with WD.

I Am The (Semi-Original) Roshaun Fan. Yay for Prince Unlikely!
