    I have read it too, and yes, both times it did seem VERY different.

        Welcome!

        Yes, I'm weird, I know, but does anyone else take it as a personal offense if someone tells you they don't like to read, or makes jokes about reading? Hate it Hate it HATE IT!!

        And, yes, books are usually the best for the first time, simply because you do not know what is going to happen. The problem is, though, that plot lines are often very predictable. What kept annoying me is, when I was reading one of the DragonLance series, the very 1st one, I believe, the characters kept, like, DYING, and you were SURE they were dead, and then the came back to life! I HATE that!
        But plot lines seem so predictable...so the author has to add a little twist, something you're not expecting, and that's what makes books unique.

        "All that is gold does not glitter,
        Not all those who wander are lost,
        The old that is strong does not wither,
        Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
        From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
        A light from the shadows shall spring,
        Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
        The crownless again shall be king."

        My fave poem from the whole LOTR (and there are certainly enough of them!).

        There is no right way or wrong way, you just have to live
        And so I do what I do, and at least I exist;
        What could mean more than this?"
