Ah, Sarah, thank you. I HAD A PRECOGNITION TOO.

People don't believe me, but I liked (and later loved) Roshaun right from the beginning. Am I crazy? Possibly. But now I'm not alone!

Thank you again for being so articulate

I Am The (Semi-Original) Roshaun Fan. Yay for Prince Unlikely!

      Wakuchan! 'Tis DoMO from Sheroes.

I'm also a Tom/Carl fan. That's one of the few slash-pairings I support in any book, but their interactions in The Book of Night With Moon clinched that ship for me.

I haven't been here in awhile but this was something I had to say. I love Dairine and Roshoun. I have since Holiday. I will always be a K/N fan and I think this book dropped hints all over the place of them getting together. Carmela and Ronan should be fun as long as Ronan is not with Nita then I am happy. As for Tom and Carl I never thought to be a fan of it I always just thought that was the way it was like a fact of nature. Kit and Nita are meant to be even though I'm always a fan of a a good platonic relationship I think they fit together so well and I'm just waititng for them to realize it.
The worst thing about new books is that they keep us from reading the old ones.

Something is going to happen between Nita and Kit. It's undeniable seeing as there's been so many references to it throughout the series. I, too, have been a K/N fan since the very beginning, and I'll admit I was more than a little upset during that whole thing she had going on with Ronan.
Dair and Roshaun are definetly going places, and it's going to be interesting to see that develope.
As for Carmela and Ronan, I think that could work out, but it's going to be kind of hard to work that into the series.
Personally, as long as N/K wind up together, I'll be happy!
          before the beginning
          after the end
          what happens to us?

Wait . . . what? How can she only be 14?? In SYWTBAW, she was 13! I'm reading AWA now, and it specifically says that she had gotten her power 2 years ago, which would have made her 15 in Ireland!

Nita basically gave Carmela permission to go after Ronan a good few times in this book. there's the ones that have already been mentioned, and I was re-reading WaW earlier today and I found another (pretty much) dead give-away as to Nita not really being interested in Ronan that way anymore.

              ~
              pg. 83
Without warning, Carmela came around the corner and puled Nita away from behind Ronona, backward and out of sight of the dining room, where Kit had started to ask Ronan something.
"Who. Is. Your. Friend??" Carmela whispered and Nita regained her balance. "Where did he come from?"
"Ireland. THere's this town on the east coast, it's called Bray-"
"No, no, no," Carmela said. "I meant it in a more existential way. I was refering to his basic, you know, hotness." Carmela put her head down by Nita's. "Is he attached?" she whispered.
"In ways it would take me days to describe," Nita said, "yes."
              Carmela's face fell.
"But none of them are those kinds of ways," Nita said.
A smile slowly appeared on Carmela's face. "Oh, good."
              ~

So yeah, major hint that i didn't see mentioned before, and if it was, sorry for wasting your time in reading it. Just thought I'd put it out there.

And I still want to know, how does Nita know this? How does she know that Ronan and Majella, who both came over to talk to her, aren't "an item"? You'll notice that Nita was introduced to the whole group, but the readers were only introduced to Ronan (who we know about) and Majella. Do you think that was an accident? Maybe she's his wizarding partner, maybe she's his girlfriend, maybe she's his sister. Who knows? (DD does!)

Of course, this doesn't change the fact that Nita's clearly not interested in Ronan.

Well I am rather happy at the Dairine/Roshaun partnership. I was rather unimpressed with Roshaun at first in WH, but by the end he had grown on me and I could see that he and Dairine had met their match!

I think it is hilarious at what Carmela and Ronan seem to have got themselves in for. I like how Nita has managed to talk to both Carmela and Ronan seperately and given them her blessing. To me it points the way to a Kit/Nita 'ship.

I've no problems with a Kit/Nita partnership. I've just always assumed it would turn out like Tom and Carl's partnership right from the first book. No fuss, no bother, just a close partnership right from the start.

Re: what happened to the twychild at the end of WAW: The Concordance says brainburn, although it's your choice whether you want to take "burnt out" as severe brainburn or... something else.

As for 'shipping... I enjoyed all of it in the book, despite not being a huge D/R fan. However, I now have to scrap everything I wrote for Alida for fanfic100. *facepalm*

Yeah, it doens't. But meybe DD gave that much info 'cus Majella and Ronan both came up to Nita in the chicken place. I mean mebbe someone from their 'group' was like "Hey, look at that girl over there, in't she American?" Then like Ronan or Majella could've brought up the idea of asking her to sit with them but mebbe Ronan or Majella just brought the other for like support or something...like I dunno so they wouldn't be the only one asking a stranger to sit with them?

Well, I don't know...if anyone can understand that then good job.

Nita was definately looking at that Austalian kid at the end of WaW.

                          I'm a Nita/Kit fan. Somewhat cliche, but . . .
And Dairine/Roshaun. For them what really struck me was what Roshaun's mother said to Dairine near the end, that Roshaun had loved her. Also, when Dairine comes out of the hole in the virtual Timeheart and steps into her backyard . . .kind of funny that there would be connection between his home and her yard in his mind, right? (I'm guessing that "Timeheart" was reflecting that.)
We may see Roshaun again yet. I'm gonna miss him, especially his arguing with Dairine!
                          I lurk. It's what I do.
"Always put off until tomorrow what you can do today."

Where does Roshaun's mother say that? I can only find where Dairine tells Roshaun's parents that he loved them, and would have wanted them to know that.

I think it's Nelaid, actually. And he doesn't really specifically say that Roshaun loved Dairine, but he says something along the lines of "he...was very fond of/respectful" of her. I believe.

Dang. I don't have the book with me.

Ah! I just reread WaW, and I found myself a new coupling! Darryl/Nguyet all the way! Don't ask how I came to support them, but I like it. Poor Darryl needs some coupling love, too. <3
