I never actually realized they spoke to a Power too, until I read the book again. I wonder which one it was?-- and if it's one we meet again?-- or one that one of their friends have spoken to?
I think when the LP says "lucky breaks," he is trying to make Kit and Nita's relationship seem less than what it is. So if they start to believe him, or even think about his words, it starts to break down their bond because it doesn't mean as much, since they're thinking about what he said...
