Now I was reading WA today and looked at the writting about Pillars (What Darryle is!) and it said that some of there other talents are finding other universes so could Ponch be one??? I know it really unlikly but I thought I would mention it!

To return to Peter's question as to where he could have possibly seen a mention of James Duane in a DD interview (a mere two pages back):

You were quite possibly thinking of the Duane's World interview, where she mentions that she would like to do "a novel-length 'interview' " with him, "partly by way of atonement for having written for 'My Little Pony' ". She also mentions him (saying that he makes Giuliani look like a "limp noodle", if I remember correctly) in the Recorded Books interview (note that this link takes you directly to a RealAudio stream).

Howdy, Nathan. I dont think I have ever met you.. Jeez, we have been so much OT (Off topic) that I wouldent be suprised if we started to talk about soggy crackers. (There is a story behind the soggy crackers. My friend today said he was a soggy cracker cause he was half latino, half American. I told him i would be to cause I am half latina and half American. I thought the soggy cracker was pretty funny. But, I have a habit of laughing at stuff when no one else does.. )

I read that one again, and it's definitely the one I meant, thanks. I didn't try the Real Audio one, as the phone line probably isn't up to it.

I note that the interview says that, at the time, DD was working on the second Feline Wizards book, and also outlining Door Into Starlight, so I expect that'll be finished soon.

About those Pillars:
I found a definition for abdals (the other word for what Darryl is) in a book about angels. It said:
"Abdals: An elite class of angels found in Islam. They preside over the operation of the universe. Selected personally by God, the identities of the seventy Abdals are kept secret from the other angels. When one dies, God selects another angel to replace him."

(The book was _Encyclopedia of Angels_ by Constance Victoria Briggs)
