That's ok. June's easy to mistake for July when you're reading too fast. Hope we can all make it to the next one. Given how this poll turned out, I'm a leetle worried about folks getting Chime to work...

It may not matter (again). From the News and Gateway page:

The old SigmaChat chat area has now been closed for daily use, but the new "Chime" area is fully active.

and:

DD's next chat in late August / early September will take place in the old SigmaChat area: by then Infopop should have resolved the remaining issues with Chime.

This confused me at first, but presumably it's to cover that "should".

The News & Gateway page is now announcing the next Official Chat with DD will be on September 25th, but not in the Chime area. Are you gonna be there?

*checks he still has the email with the password* Yep, good. Whether I can be there (I voted Maybe) depends on what my sister wants to do for her birthday, which is the day after.

However, if she's going to celebrate it on the right day, then I will absolutely be there! But without the bells. Sorry about that. *meow*

I'll post the SigmaChat area URL on the day of the chat. Meanwhile, don't worry about password access: I'll disable it for that one day, so people will be able to just walk in. (Since the application is about to be shut off, further security bas become more or less of a non-issue.)

I'm happy. I don't think I remember mine (teflon-coated memory), it's been so long.

Anyway, for the newbies, there are some fun features that SigmaChat has that Chime doesn't. Two in particular are the ability to make funny noises, and color choices so that you can tell everybody apart easily. No avatars, though.

And for everyone's warning, *beep* is MY sound, and that funny blue is MY color. I love Sigma's lol smiley.
