This forum had a ton of very short "the Next DD Chat!" threads. Since PM has set up a thread to be used for all of these types of discussions from now on, I thought it might be nice to group all those threads together into one place. All post attributes are in place correctly, except for the initial posts in each thread, where I've manually entered the original post date and thread title.

Just so that everyone knows...the next "formal" chat with DD will be on Saturday, February 21, 2004, at the usual time -- 3 PM EST (that's 8 PM BST, 2000 UTC).

Well, the scrolling news thingy says it's on January 21st, just thought I'd let you know.

What do you usually talk about at the forums? Do you just ask her questions about future books? I have another question...What if there are so many people in the chat that you can't get your questions heard? I don't understand. Pleas help.

Dai Stiho! Welcome to YW, as we call it. If your in the chat room and theres too many people and you can't be heard, your screwed.
sorry, just had to say that. Um, that happens to me all the time except there usually aren't too many people on whne I am, you just have to repeat it until somebody hears you, otherwise I can't help you there. Oh, and in the forums you talk about any and all subjects that anybody can possibly think of. Off topic is horrendously(sp?) common, so you won't get critized if you're off topic. I don't know if Tui is still doing it, but you can ask her for a newbie pack. Actually, her user name is Birdhead, but we all call her Tui. I don't know if you know all the stuff I jsut told you already, but I've already told it to you, so again, welcome to YW!

Errr. Lee, I know it's only a little thing, but so far I've seen four pages with stale "next live chat" date/times on 'em, which could be confusing for the newbies:
http://www.youngwizards.net/YoungWizardsChatTimes.html
http://www.youngwizards.net/YoungWiz...IndexPage.html
http://www.youngwizards.net/YoungWizardsNewsPage.html
and the chat launch page:
http://www.youngwizards.net/chat/Px3lRsT2.html
Perhaps it's time for a php include() or a spot of SSI so that you can make all the pages grab the date/time from a single place, instead of manual updating?New to the board? Please take the time to read the YW Board-Specific Rules, or Why We're Not Like Other Boards FAQ.

I just sent in an e-mail to Lee with an avatar and to ask for a screenname and password to the chat.

http://www.youngwizards.net/YoungWiz...IndexPage.html .... what has happened to the logs of all the chats which have happened since?

That's weird. What, it has been about 2 years since those chats! Surely they would've been recorded, right? I wonder what happened. Maybe the chats were so huge...??? I dunno.
And thanks so much for giving me a password to the chat, Lee!
