Time of "DD's next scheduled online conference"

Lee: It seems that the time for the "next scheduled online conference" should be given in EDT instead of EST, as the US will have changed to daylight time on April 6th. Of course, you were probably just seeing if people were paying attention to the given time zone, right? (Though perhaps you were attempting to confuse people, in which case I've blown the cover off your nefarious scheme ). I would recommend that times should be given in UTC to avoid such confusions, except that I think that even more confusions would be generated by people attempting to convert from UTC to their 'home' time zone.

On a (slightly) related subject, are you planning on posting any more chat logs? I don't mean to rush you (and realize that you are probably quite busy), I'm just wondering if you plan on posting them at all.

You were right about EDT, of course. I've corrected that.

Meanwhile, as regards chat logs: normally they come to DD first, and she forwards them to me. We're going to be changing that so that I get them first. She really has been very busy lately, and that's been interfering with her handling her mail sometimes.

I'll be putting up the last couple of chat logs over the course of the next week.

*grins* I know how you feel. The easiest thing to do is to go to World Clock at http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ and then use the Fixed Time Calculator to find out what time it is where you are if it's whatever time NYC, which is the easiest city to remember that will be using EDT at the time of the chat. Hope that helped!

Midnight BST. We made the change on this side of the water earlier than the US will this year (they do it tonight) but we'll all be on daylight/summer time together by the time of the chat. (Except, I understand, for some people in Arizona, Illinois, and some other parts of the US. That's the part that makes *my* head hurt. DD had something about this on her blog the other week. I should see if I can find the link.)
