  • hrasht?

I kow it means cousin, but does it have a plural, or is it like the word deer?

Well, we know verbs conjugate for plurality - "dai stiho" becomes "dai stiheh" in the plural - but I can't recall offhand if we ever get a case of a pluralized noun.

Well, my friend and I pronounce it "Hr-rAsh-at", or thereabouts. Something like that is close, I think.

          I say Ha Ra Sht...

I don't think it would have a plural

If i could remeber this right.... Nita was refering to not just one thing...but sevral...

so it could be that hrasht IS the plural form...

but thats just me and my stinky memory

          Dai STiho Hrasht!

I asked about this in January 2005. DD said that she wasn't sure.

I pronounce it "Rasht" (silent "H").

                um...I think I pronounce it H-Ra-shh-t

The H is just kinda a...exhaling sound or something...

And the T's just a sharp t! sound... something like that...

I don't think 'grasht' needs a plural when you say "dai'stiho". Thnk about it. If you say " Dai'stiheh hrasht" then it is automatically understood that you are speaking to more than one person.
