I'm not sure if she is still in it or not. She still has her candles, and books, and things, but I don't know.

As for the board thing ()can't spell it either , I remember when my mom and her friend had one. They used to use a wine glass, and when the wine glass started moving, they would remove their hands at the same time, and the glass would still be moving. It was scary, as I was only 7 or 8 years old at the time.

It is spelled Ouija Boards. Had to look it up.

Why are you saying sorry? Its not your fault you did not see, you she im just intrested in that sort of thing. I think I would not try it myself but i would love listeining to over peoples experiances. I was told to much as a youngster that that sort of thing allows demons/evil into you or that bad things can happen that are not east to sort out afterwards. I mean the fact my mum wont talk about it scares me to be honest! In fact I might ask her again this weekend when I see her. Nice talking to you Cassandra125, but I have to go and do my uni work now.

I have a friend who's Wicca. Ironically, her mom is very Christian, and would freak out if she found out.

Ewww, when we moved here, we found one of the boards in the basement. *creepy* I don't beleive in ghosts, spirits, or anything unnatural, but stuff like that freaks me out anyway.

Not quite. At first, it is sort of like willing something to happen, but you have to enforce it with powers that can make it happen, like certain Elements, and so forth. But its not just that. Wizardry has a few techniques thta allow you to change the ways you do things. For example, there is a sustem for remembering things which greatly improves your ability to memorize.
Wizardry can make things happen, but its not like its depicted. You can't make objects move, or things like that.

My cousin had a Ouijia board for awhile when we were younger. She was really into the whole...I don't know what to call it. Spiritualism? That doesn't sound right...anyway, she used it to scare me once. We asked what we were having for lunch, and it said pb and j, and that was what we had. She later confessed to manipulating the thingie so it said that. But on the other side of it, she threw the board out a year later because it did something on it's own...

Also, in fourth grade I went to a party (that's the last party I went to; I'm such a social reject ) and we had a Ouijia board there...the other girls locked themselves in a puny closet while I was in the bathroom, and then started screaming; apparently they thought Elvis was communicating with them through the board...

I don't believe in the whole "Ouijia board magic" because...it just doesn't seem real to me. The magic in other things, like...I don't know how to describe it, but I'll figure it out eventually.

Actually, research has proven that Ouijia boards may be fake without people realising it. It's something to do with your finger muscles moving by reflex for a bit, and that might make it seem like the piece is being moved.

Or something like that. I saw it on Discovery channel. XD

                    • What Gigo said. They have weird pad thingies on the bottom that make them slide across the board. A person using it usually has some idea of what they want the answer to be, and their fingers naturally seem to move the piece thingie to the letters that spell out the answer that's most desirable to them. Or, they could be like my cousin, who just manipulated the board to scare me, and when I started manipulating it, got scared out of her wits. Good times, good times. XD

I don't think I believe in magic. I used to, due to little coincidences like being able to tell what song is coming up next on the radio, or hearing exactly what someone is going to say before they say it. But they're just that to me: coincidences. I used to start hoping whenever someone said something about real magic; now I'm just skeptical.

I just have to tell you that there is no such thing as coincideces'

                        • I have to say... that magic or something like it does indeed exist. I have seen...some really strange stuff. For example, I was over at my friends house and we were bored so we pulled out this incredibly old wigi board. After about maybe 10 minutes of nothing happening we left the room to go play video games. We just left the board on the table. well anyway his dad came home and saw the wigi board was moving all by itself. apparently the message the wigi board made was a warning for the dad's friend not to go on a trip he was planning. well that wasn't gonna happen. so he at least persuaded him to go get his car checked. here's where it gets weird. both tires on one side of the car were over inflated or something equally bad, well had he gone on the trip without checking the car he would have had 2 massive blowouts that would have flipped the car onto the driver side instantly killing him.

So I for one believe magic is real.

                            • You know what I totally forgot to ask my mum about the thing, I will have to phone her at some stage this week and ask her. By the way some of you may remember that I'm a student primary school teacher (teach 3-11 year olds), anyway I have strted a science club at this school to do fun science! So far I have done the bicarbonate of soda and vinegar 'volcano' experiment and invisable writing and next week we are making glob (this slim stuff, linked to energy transfer ) But have you lot got any ideas? I know in the USA you do alot of these fun experiments. I have loads of web sites but you proberly now what works best.
                              Thanks

                              • I don't use the term magic, but I do believe in the supernatural/paranormal. I haven't actually seen ghosts, but I do believe they exist. Aliens are almost guaranteed, somewhere in the universe.

Back on topic. I'm a psion, albeit a beginner (psiballs are about it so far) and even outside of that I've had weird stuff happen to me. For instance, if my mind wanders while I'm listening to my mp3 player, I'll just know what song is coming next. It doesn't work if I try to predict it, just when it happens on its own.

I've never actually taken the Oath, because I'm nervous about what might happen if it actually worked. I mean, my parents are kind of overprotective and would want to know why I was always off somewhere all of a sudden.
I'm cursed with an alien psychotic posing as my little sister. Plus, it makes very strange noises and doesn't always speak English.
