Arik is joining the 'abroad'? Cool! Heh. My username is L&R/Gryphon. It used to be Loth/Gryphon, but when I added Rachel, it got realllly long. Beware of Gryphon the hyperactive puffball!

Cough, cough... I've been sick recently. Big ugg.

Migawd. I haven't had time to seriously post in the 'abroad' boards. It's just too close to the winter holidays, I guess.

I was just so astounded after this post. After clicking 'submit', I just sat back and though I typed that??? Here, read:


Gryphon froze as a shiver ran down her back. Her tail quivered in fear, and she couched down. Her eyes showed her worry as she whispered,
"Icy Pole..."
It might not be the Lone Power, but every part of her was screaming it. The cold that she could feel radiating off the figure was an icy one. The iciness of being trapped under a frozen river. You'll die either way, by cold or by lack of air. The panic seizes you in its grip and the cold numbs your mind. The very smell of it kindled a deep, horrifying fear that made her want to flee.
Gryphon didn't flee. The panic was too much for her. It locked her legs and made her growl. It wasn't at all like when she had first encountered the Lone Power. She was just being her normal, brainless self then. But now, something else pulled at her. Maybe it was the way that everyone else seemed to suffocate her with their own fear, or maybe it was the shape of the creature. A flicker of a dog's image flashed in her mind and mingled with her image of the 'Icy Pole.' The combination of Eiirelei's evilness and a dog's own grim joy of watching a fleeing animal did what one alone could not. For the first time in her life, Gryphon felt real fear.


Note that Eiirelei is the Lone Power and that 'Icy Pole' is Gryphon's name for her. Also, Gryphon is a brainless cat. She doesn't exactly follow a normal wizard cat's guidlines.
