Warrior caste of wizards?

What, do you think, is the possibility of seeing a real warrior like caste of wizards in the next book, seeing as how it will be a war on a much larger scale than the skirmishes in Abroad. Now technically wizards aren't really supposed to do combat but I figure there must be some set aside to deal with real combat threats that may come from entropy or even if the Lone One decided to manifest in the form of a real army and take something over, most normal wizards couldn't handle it. So it's the real fighters as opposed to peace keepers approach that could be interesting to discuss.

Hmm... I don't know. it's an interesting idea, but for some reason I find it unlikely that there'd be a particular group of wizards set aside particularly for combat. That seems counter to most ideals expressed during the series, and also to the behaviour we've seen from Nita, Kit and Dairine in the past. From that, I'd say that yes, we'll see flashy stuff, and it may well be on a larger scale than Abroad- but it will mostly be the same people, just like in Abroad. There will presumably be some people who do more or les of it, just like there are people who specialise more or less in healing- but I think at its base, all wizards do, I guess, both forms of wizardry- your preserving form and your fighting form, though come to think of it I'm not sure that they can be distinguished. All wizards are dedicated, ultimately, to the preservation of life, so it seems unlikely there'd be a group devoted to the opposite. If they are killing/fighting/whatever, it must therefore be in preservation of life- or theoretically, anyway. I'm so not getting into that moral debate. And if it's for the preservation of life, then all wizards are part of it, so it all comes down to the same in the end.
