.."Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storge?" that sounds like something an eleven-year-old boy would be amused by, for some reason...
...and why am I getting deja vu from this?
(hee... I thought for a moment your siggy was part of it... heehee... "But JKR is already famou-... oh, wait...")

Lol, I thought it was too, Semiramis! That is a very odd name. I have never heard it mentioned in any of the books. Wonder what it means.

Is that so? How very interesting.Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storgé
"Storgé" is one of the famous "Four Loves" of the Greek classical tradition. There are "philia" (friendship), "eros" (romantic or sexual love), "agape" (divine or spiritual love, a.k.a. the cardinal virtue caritas / "charity"), and Storgé. Storgé is parental love, nurturing love, the particular feeling of being responsible for another being's welfare and wanting to nurture and protect it.
You could also translate it as "mother love".
If (as someone who hasn't read the books, but has a general knowledge of what's going on) I was going to venture a guess, I would think that this might be a book where Harry gets to handle some parental issues.
Just a thought. I could be wrong, of course: JKR might be assigning some completely different meaning to the word "storgé". But somehow I doubt it.-- DD

ooh! That doesn't sound like a hoax to me... because I've looked at the facts/rumors/not true things and it says that JK tells us more about Lily Potter and I think more about Harry's dad... And if it's supposed to be similar to the chamber of secrets, it also says Moaning Myrtle is coming back...*Agent~M*

I wanna see Day After Tomorrow... and I heard someone mention Deep Impact. ELIJAH!! *falls off a chair* those eyes.
so blue...
*ahem*
I find it kinda odd, how I'm old, but technically a new/midbie still. My account is from before even some of the oldbies, but I only made like 5 posts with it, disappeared, and then came back. The only thread I remember being in was one about the spaceship, the Columbia crashing and DD's mention on it and all these people going hyper-spastical on why they shouldn't get special recognition, etc. etc.
*blinks*
Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storge. *snuffles* I heard that too, my friend just showed me this from MuggleNet, like 10 minutes ago.
Why the book 6 title is probably fake
Over the past 24 hours, over 2000 comments have been left regarding the possible title of Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storgé for book six. Some of you have made strong cases for why the title may be fabricated:
For one, "she" uses American punctuation instead of British punctuation on this sentence: The more clever Potter fans may recognize that the title relates directly to both 'Order of the Phoenix' and 'Chamber of Secrets.'
In Britain, the ending quotation mark should go inside the period. As I was reading her biography on her site today, I noticed that she punctuated things the "British way," which leads to the assumption that either she made a typo in her book 6 post (the same problem appears in the next paragraph, except with a comma rather than a period) or that an American typed it up for her.
The first assumption seems incorrect because it is unlikely that she would make the same mistake twice in a row. The second doesn't seem likely either, because she affirmed that she is indeed the one writing the things on her website, and I'm sure Lightmaker made some easy system allowing her to update, so she could do it herself. Another reason the second assumption does not seem probable - the title of the sixth book is classified information, and she wouldn't let just any staff member at Lightmaker type that up, because then it would leak in no time.
Also, why would Jo put that information anywhere on her site prior to when she wanted to release it? She is the master of secrecy, and you think she'd be able to wait until July 1 to put it on her site. Although it's not in an easy-to-access area, it seems very non-JKRish to do that.
It is a bit strange that she would include a difficult-to-pronounce word such as Storgé in the title of her book.
One more reason: The only way that some visitors can "hack" past the door is by downloading the file to their computer, and then opening it to find this link to a book with Latin characters on the pages. Once you open the file on your computer, you can modify it however you like, which includes modifying the text on the book.
Other reasons exist for why the title may be fabricated, these are just some.
Updates: A few more reasons...
1) When watching the video, the "help" tab disappears momentarily. While perusing her site, the "help" tab never disappears from the screen.
2) The Dark Mark (what Jo uses as a spoiler warning) is on the wrong side of the page. The Dark Mark should be on the page with the spoiler, and you then have to click on the Dark Mark to reveal the text. The Dark Mark then appears as a faded image underneath the text.
3) The font used for "Book 6" does not appear anywhere else on the site. Look at the words "Book" and "Biography" (on the main page) -- the B's don't match.
4) Although the text circulating the Internet said that the date on the post was July 1, a closer look at the video reveals that the date is "22.06.04" (June 22).
5) "The more clever Potter fans may recognize that the title relates..." The correct British spelling of "recognize" is "recognise."------------------------------

Oh, that's weird, Abby. I was wondering why JKR put such a complicated word in the title. I didn't know what it meant until Ms. Duane explained it.~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Well, what I always do is read every post after my last post. But that's four pages!!!
I guess I oughta start reading them now...
WOAH!!!! Hey, PM! I think your beard ranks with the oldest members here!!!!!PM:
That's the closest I could find to a smiley with a beard... I started growing my beard in December 1977, so it's now twenty-six and a half years old . I've been using that as my guideline for considering people incredibly young since it was about twenty. No, really.

Your beard is older than me too. Oooh, that's so cool!
Yeah! Show those people that boys aren't so wimpy to not have LONG HAIR!!! Takes a lot o' brushing, y'know. Which means PAIN. :PFox:
I want to know what its like to have longer hair!
HAHAHA!!!!!! I went to the LOTR puppet thingy that Abby linked. Hahaha!!!

My hair comes down to my waist. It's very long. It's probably heavy, too, but I can't tell because I'm so used to it.
...I think it's cool when guys have long hair. One of the artists-in-residence for band (he was a woodwinds specialist) in my middle school had even longer hair than mine. It was curly-ish. I always wanted to braid it. Muahahahahaha. Bananas.

Guys with long hair are cool, most of the time. Some people just werren't meant to have long hair.Reality is for those who lack imagination.

maybe she is going to write more on the relationship between Harry and his mother, and how she gave up her life to save his.Originally posted by Diane Duane:

my hair is waist length, but there was a point were it went down to the middle of my thigh, my hair has always been long and wavy. My hair is really dark brown, almost black, like ebony, but recently I put in redlights, which looked really nice until it faded to a bronzy-orange color. I am never going to dye my hair again.
