  • *HUGS Emi* I'm sorry, I really hope that it turns up and nothing is really missing, I know how I'd be if I lost my wallet with all of my cards and driver's license in it....

What will be - will be, so the whole 2012 thing doesn't phase me.

Well, my promotion is officially official.... and I'm not sure how I feel about it either... I'm not sure I'm up to the added responsibility and the chance it has for me to make a massive mistake.... We'll just have to see...

      • Hey peeps;
the 2012 thing doesn't phase me, b/c we can all make it through this all.

Emi, I just "lost" my favorite jacket, so we can mourn together.

Ok, my moment of wallowing is over.

fyi, my grad year is 2011.

and, Wicked, don't be so confused. you are the only one who can truely see what is going on inside of you, and what will become of it. (try to talk to whomever it is and get some answers).
(I typed this during first period.)

btw, what promotion ru talking a/b, stormwind?

        • Emi: Aw, that's too bad! I hope you did just lose it, and that you find it again very soon.

Nelina: Same goes for your jacket! Losing stuff is no fun...

All of a sudden I'm really crazy... I've been looking at cars (not really interested in buying one, seeing as I don't have a permit yet), but I really love old VW vans... like this one:

Ahhh, I just love that type of car... and it's nearly killing me that there's one about a half an hour away from me, for sale. And it's yellow... (I like yellow.) I don't know how much it is, but since I can't drive and have nowhere to put it, I feel sad. I like it so much... It's just... an amazing model.

*is a little bit depressed, now that the dream car is probably...not possible*

          • Once, long long ago, I drove a VW bus from Nairobi to Malindi. An interesting drive. We went through Tsavo East and down the Sala road, I think. TH VW coped quite well with all the rough roads, which is why (I guess) they used to be used by the tour companies for taking tourists round the game parks.

I agree that they are probably the most awesome mode of transportation...*realizes he's on the YW forum*...most awesome CAR possible. I've always wanted one, though I don't think that the chances of finding one in really good condition is that high. (Right? Any thoughts?) Maybe that will console you, kk?

Also, it's great to be back on the forums! I haven't been here in like a year.... ^_^

                    • Mysss: Well, if you look at this, it's pretty interesting. It looks like a very cool car... And yes, I bet that there are better modes of "transportation."

I've seen other ones in driving condition that have been for sale... Though some have had things on them that say stuff like, "Bad Gas Mileage" or "Does Not Drive Up Steep Hills." It's almost funny...

Ah, well; that'll be a goal for the future. When I'm actually allowed to buy a car, I'll look for one of these. If that's possible.

Right now, I'm trying to crochet an octopus doll for my friend... she's a tiny bit obsessed with plushies. It's a lot of fun, really. Crocheting gives you something to do. And it definitely gives something to do while I'm sick (I have some type of virus).

                      • Wow, kk, I feel you; I used to want a vw convertible beetle, but I got smart and realized how messy my hair would be forever.... so now I'm provably getting a blue honda fit.

Wicked: It's the thin, soft, blue one; the one that made me feel small and sexy.

Anywho, this weekend, I got a Pixie sewing machine (by SINGER), and it had a severe manufacturer's defect. The needle and the hole which it is supposed to go up and down into, were tatally out of alighment.

So I'm provably getting a different model. (and I was all ready to finally make a purse with a false bottom/secret compartment....)

Don't get the pixie sewing machine, even though it is a pretty purple and pretty cheap.

I've always wanted to learn how to knit or crochet...I want to make pretty socks and bags!!!! My dad knows how, but he hasn't had enough time to teach me, with his job and all...

Once I get a new achine, I'm making a skirt, b/c I haven't found any good ones that I like.

I really am a 60's child though. Like, fashions and hairstyles that I think of, usually happen to be form the 60's, w/o me knowing. It's just like: "I like this", or "this looks good on me", and then I'm told its from the 60's. Also, in my opinion, that is when the best music was made.

oh, and trevbook: Pears, Pears, Pears, Pinnapples, Watermellon, coconut, and all sorts of exotic fruit to you too. :P

                          • Hi, Septimus! I'm doing fine!

I'm kinda hyper right now... I don't really know why. I've been facebooking a lot, and I guess that could add to it.

I've been listening to a lot of Tom Smith music, which adds to it also. I get Tech Support For Dad stuck in my head, because that's what it's like sometimes with teaching computer stuff to my grandmother. She learns a bit quicker, though... she's just against the whole 'technology' thing. Hates the stuff.

That's pretty much all I have to ramble about today... I think I'll go read. Inkheart is very good so far...

                            • Life's good for me too.

Well, not 100%. The coach of my swim team is leaving. Our team is unattached, and rather small, and everyone's been on the team for quite a while, so it was sorta like having another family. But now Jenny's going to Aurora.... I'm gonna miss her. She did relays almost every practice in the summer, and we had a ton of fun. Now we get to look forward to a new coach. We had her once as a sub, and I'm not sure I like her. She does a lot more butterfly than Jenny, and I don't think a single swimmer on our team likes butterfly. I certainly don't....

Other than that though, it's great. Summer has started, and the weather has been mostly sunny for weeks. I have two shelves of books from around the house that I haven't read that are set aside for summer reading. One of my teachers insisted I start a blog of all the books I've read and make reviews. If anyone's interested, here's a link. (I haven't done reviews on that many books though. I'll get around to it eventually...)

                              • @Zirsta: I hope that things turn out alright with your new swim coach! Maybe you'll all get really good at butterfly? Anyway, I look forward to reading your book reviews on your blog!

For my part--I'm thinking about the stray cat that adopted us. No, we didn't adopt it--pets aren't allowed--it adopted us. It seduced us with big kitty eyes and a pitiful meow, not to mention by being way too skinny. It seems to be a former house cat, but we found it roaming the four-ish acres of land that we call our backyard, and none of our new neighbors seem to know who its ehhif were. It's such a sweet cat, though! It puts up with my three-year-old nephew picking it up and throwing it around, pulling its tail, lying on it, trying to pry its mouth open... and not only does it never scratch or bite, it still hasn't left either. I keep going outside and it'll be waiting by the door, meowing at me, and I sit down and pet it and say, "I wish we could keep you... I wish we could give you a bowl of food and a basket in the garage, but we can't." I was very sad.

We started feeding it a few days ago, although it's still not allowed inside the house, and I'm so glad we did--because I just realized that it was de-clawed. So now I'm wishing I knew who its former owners are, because boy would I give them a piece of my mind. What kind of cruel, negligent people de-claw a cat and then turn it out to fend for itself? So now I'm all worried when we hear sounds like a catfight outside at night, because if it's our cat (whom my sisters have named Charley), I don't know how it'll defend itself. I haven't seen any wounds, though, so I guess things are okay.
Difficult things take a long time. Impossible things take a little longer. But then, we've got a lifetime.
