  • Emi: I've never thought about who as an actor for Ronan... I like him for that!

I don't really like going to the beach.... But last year, I went to a town beach in RI, and I loved it, particularly because the water was very clean. They also had great food for a reasonable price, and it wasn't too crowded.

It's been rainy for the past couple days.... I woke up to a thunderstorm this morning.... But that's OK. We always need the rain. I'd rather have rain than it to be wicked dry.

Church yesterday was wonderful, but I won't get in to it - you'd have to have been there.

    Dai!

    • Huh...I'm going to RI on Thursday! I'll be camping! And it'll be raining the whole time!

My cousin Viola is so nice...she lets us camp in her yard. Her yard being many acres of forest and grass. The family reunion is always held there, because of how large it is.

It'll be fun, the family reunion. I haven't talked to my pyromaniacal cousin(s) since last year.

I was walking through Philadelphia yesterday (going to see the Liberty Bell with my uncle and grandfather), and suddenly, a bright yellow porsche sped around the corner, and zoomed off at a speed definitely faster than the speed limit...oh, how I laughed...

      • Ah.... this place is hard to keep up with.
So... I shall randomly babble about my life . I actually managed to do well on my finals which took forever, and I got into all the advanced classes I want . But also, I'm kind of worried about next year because High School counts when you're applying for a college... and I don't know if I can keep my grades up. Also I don't know if I can do as many extra academic things, because I don't want them to distract me ...
        Ah... I just vented...

Summer seems to be slipping bye, you know? It's already almost July...

Anyway, maybe i'll have more to say once I look at all the other posts.
I have so much reading to do...

        • Howdy, Wolfy! Haven't seen you around much lately.... Coincidentally, I was thinking about you the other day for some reason.... Anyway, glad to see you!

So.... Monday and Tuesday were thoroughly boring. I did NOTHING all day.... Yesterday morning, my dad and I were outside pounding a metal rod in to the ground, trying to find the cover to the septic tank to see it it's that time.... We can't find it, though; this lovely New England rocky soil keeps tricking us, and it's really annoying my dad. But I'm a little annoyed because of the disturbances in the grass; it seems as though the grass only JUST grew back from last time we did this.

Tomorrow, my mom and I might be going to the beach with one of her friends, and possibly one of mine as well. The weather isn't looking too good, though, and if it's cloudy, we're not going to do it because it's not worth wasting the gas to get there if we're not going to enjoy it for a long time.

I just got Mario Kart Wii. I'm off to try that out.

          • Oh, I'm SO glad that summer school is over with. No more driver's ed or personal finance, so now I can concentrate on rehearsal for the youth theatre and for The Secret Garden.

The National Audio Theatre Festival was this past week...it comes to my town every year, and Barbara Rosenblat was there last year and this year as well. She is absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately there was no improv workshop this year, but the Friday night show was brilliant, as always.

            • eowyngirl: You're in The Secret Garden? How is it? Sounds like a good play...

KK: I think your life has the Cullens in it... haha, I always get a kick of what you see that is related to Twilight.

Wolfy: I haven't seen you on here in awhile! Glad you got your classes you wanted and you did well on the Finals. Don't worry about High School, just keep working on hard, the way I think you were doing in Junior High, and don't put so much pressure on yourself. That's one thing I've learned these past three years. Once you remove some of the pressure you find yourself still getting those good grades and also having a fun time as well. Enjoy high school.

Ugh, I went to the beach, and it was cloudy the whole time. I went with my sister and my boyfriend, both who don't like walking on the sand, or near the water, so I didn't even get a chance to go on the actual beach part. I just went to the arcades and little shops. The boardwalk, you can call it. I was so mad because that's the only reason why I _like_ going to the beach. To walk along the sand and to tan. But I couldn't do either of it. (Even though I _did_ have a little fun at the arcade) I really just wanted to walk through the sand. Was that too much to ask?

Okay, that was a minor rant.

Anyway, I just celebrated my two months the other day and it was pretty... interesting. I went over to my friends house with my bf and there was a small drama, and I didn't really get a chance to "hang out" with my bf. *rolls eyes* My friend loves to cause drama I guess. And I can't believe we're "seniors". I'll never get away from drama, will I?

Alrighty, that's all for now I guess... I should see what I can do with my room.
Time passes. Even when it seems impossible.
Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse of blood behind a bruise.
It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does. Even for me.

              • I'm with my relatives out of state, and it's kinda boring right now. I've read manga until my eyes bleed khanji. >< belarar I room with my cousin who is adorable, dramatic, and manipulative. My internet connection is terrible; my people have great wireless, but I can't tap into it. >< phh

Because I know we have manga/anime fans here, I'm gonna rattle off some titles (my aunt has so much!! :O) My favorite is called Genju no Seiza. It's by the same author as Petshop of Horrors which is another one I love. They're for older audiences, partly because of the dark and sometimes gory nature. I also read Hana-Kimi which is cute but also very unoriginal. O.o Girls masquerading as guys so that they can go to an all-boys academy for one reason or another has been done before. Azumanga Daioh and Yotsuba (both by the same person) are cute, silly, light, and very good. <3 Hikaru no Go... 12ish year old boy gets possessed by a long dead go master (aimed at a younger audience). My aunt loves them... They don't really interest me. She also has Ouran High School Host Club (never read the manga, but I watched all of the anime, and I like), Tokyo Mew Mew, Princess Tutu (the last two, my friends have read and cosplayed, but I've never looked into them), Rosen Maiden (no opinion), Kamen Tantei (by same person as Petshop of Horrors and Genju no Seiza, but it's a little weak), Here is Greenwood (I like), Tsubara (I think it's boring, but my friends like it -- it's by Clamp), xxHolicxx (another by Clamp; my friends like, but I guess I'm not a huge Clamp fan), Chobits (ditto the previous two), Faruba/Fruits Basket, FMA, and many others. Genju no Seiza, Azumanga Daioh, Saiyuki, Petshop of Horrors, Yotsuba, Cain Saga, and Wild Adaptor are my favorite.

Wolf_wizard! Yaaa, highschool... the most important year is junior year. You can afford to mess up freshman and sophomore year if you can make major improvement later on. That's more admirable than slipping in your final two years. ehhh >< It feels really weird that I won't be going back. So many familiar places... it's practically been my life for the last four years, and now maybe I'll be able to say the same thing about my college.

I just played a game of tic tac toe with my friend. No paper or pencil. Just memory

                • Rosenblatt? My brother's friend's last name is also Rosenblatt. I think.

Camp's started, so I'll have something to do now. In the morning I get practice with Photoshop, followed by learning Google Sketchup, and then I tour Montréal and check out radio stations and factories etc. Today I went to the Jazz festival. I heard from the band "The Fat Tuesday Brass Band". Yes, I know; it's a weird name, but they were pretty good.

Well, I got nothing else to report.

                  • Emi: Yeah...It's going to be pretty good once we get our music completely memorized. At the moment some parts kind of suck because we don't know all our music.

How could anyone 'go to the beach' and not actually go to the beach??? I don't understand...Also, drama sucks. I'm sorry.

Gryph: I've never really been into anime/manga, but then again I don't know much about it. A lot of people like it and I don't know why I've never read any manga, but I haven't.

vashmata: Rosenblat, yeah. She's an audiobook reader and she's been on Broadway as well...last year she came and when I found out all the audio awards she's won I was like, "No way, she's coming HERE?!" I live in such a small town.

let's see...Things to rant about. Dragon Game (my site) was finally moved. (and yes, that's a desperate attempt to get more members) What i have so far of my book is up and about on fiction press as Mystical Island byK.M. Star and Mousey at least is telling me it's great...She's my Beta. :P (Her link's in the profile itself, so i'm not going to bother doing any more of those)
I'm moving to Nevada...I would leaving tomarrow, but we hit some complications, and it's happening later int he week. Ah well....I'm going to miss New York anyway, but it'll be nice getting back to my native coast. (I'm a californian, not a new yorker. I was only living on this coast for a third of my life or more. The rest, california!)
Kelley Armstrong's new book was WONDERFUL.
I'm running out of things to rant about, and can't seem to think of any more...And that's about it. :P
                      I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

                      • YAY!!! I go off to camp next week.Ahhh there is nothing like smelly beds and air so thick with bugs that you get afraid to breath.

I love all of the manga mentioned for the record.

                        • I would say something random in Irish, but I don't feel like translating right now. Later in the post, perhaps.

I just found out the the art camp I'm going to in the summer includes dancing. This will be horrible! I almost don't want to go now!

Last year, I got to skip dancing because I was having problems breathing (okay, so I passed out in the middle of the first class due to lack of oxygen. I got a lot of weird and concerned looks from my classmates, and it took me more than two hours to be able to breath okay again).

I think I have athsma, but my mom and dad won't believe me. Even though they've seen me faint several more times since then, they don't believe me when I say it's because I feel like I can't breathe.

So, yes, my mom refuses to let me skip the dance classes, and I'm going to just end up passing out again, and spending the dance classes programming the church's computers and fixing software issues, just like last year.

This is going to be so embarassing...especially if I don't pass out. Then I'll have to actually suffer through the dance classes, and look like an idiot because I can't dance in the least, whether I can breathe well or not. This is not fair!

I'm seriously considering faking passing out if I don't faint anyway...it'd make it easier on everyone else, as well as myself. *sigh*

Ba mhaith liom ordaigh caca milis--there, that was my Irish randomness...now, if I got the words in the right order, and if I spelled them right, that should say, "I would like to order cake." That was all I could think of on such short notice.

                          • Animelvr:Yay! The first Bleach song, Asterisk, by Orange Range. I remember a joke I made. The series coming after Bleach will be called Detergent. Yeah. I know. It's horrible. Anyways, you should check out other songs, like Alones (oreta awai tsubasa kimi wa sukoshi aosugiru sora ni tsukareta dake sa....) by Aqua Timez, Thank You by Home Made Kazoku (family), and After Dark by the Asian Kung-Fu Generation.

kk: I don't think you should fake it, because if they find out, it might further lessen their belief of you having asthma.

Well, the third day of camp is over. I've been going to my friend's house and vice versa for a while, since we live close to each other and we can walk home on the same route.

So far I've done the first five assignments in my Photoshop class. If you're interested, check out http://www.lbpearson.ca/~bcallahan

                            • Vashmata: yeah, you're probably right.

That website you gave looks interesting! I checked some of the photoshop projects, and then went to the gamemaking page. It was fascinating, reminds me of last year when I tried my hand at making computer games. I never finished any, but oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Maybe I'll try making a new one...hmmm...

Anyway, when I read the gamemaking page on there, I was surprised that I still could recognize the terms, and what they meant.

Did you use a gamemaker program, or are you working just on code. If it's a program, which one?

                              • kk: I would say you probably have athletic induced asthma. That's what I have. Any form of exercise I have to take my inhaler. Kind of stinks, when you just want to take a walk... you know? But I'd think dancing would be fun.. but that's just me. Although I probably don't have the coordination to dance.

YR: When I have the time, I'll finish reading the rest of your story. It looks interesting so far. Have fun moving to NV!

No fair Vashmata! You took the only two languages I know. Haha.

I think I'm going to stop eating at Fast food restaurants for awhile. I keep getting sick whenever I eat from those places... and I don't like it when my stomach hurts. It's not cool.

Anywho, I'm going to RI tomorrow for a BBQ. Should be pretty cool. Not to wild about the ride down there... but I guess it'll be okay. Anyone know what the weather's going to be like down there for tomorrow? I know NH is going to be nice.

My sister's up in ME at the anime convention. She's selling some of the goodies from my dad's shop. I might go up there sometime this weekend to check the place out. It's always cool there.

Meh, I want to go on a run today, because I haven't had that much exercise lately. Been lazy so far this summer. I'm kind of sad because I usually play bball in the summer but I haven't played since.... Feb? It's scary. I'm like having withdrawels or something. Anyway, I can't go by myself, and I have no friends around me that would enjoy running. My mom thinks it would be a bad idea bringing my 8 year old dog with me. And my dad can't keep up with me when I run. Ugh! I'm almost 17 years old, can't I just run by myself?!?

That was a mini rant. I'm done now.

                                Dai stiho peeps.
