...stand in two countries/continents at once, or stand in multiple divisions of a country (such as states, provinces, etc.) at one time, for example, in the U.S., the corners of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado?

I think standing in four states at once is really cool, personally.

Anyone can start more "Would you rather..." questions. I'll just create the poll for this one since it's the first one I came up with.

It doesn't have to be the four corners of those states, it could be multiple sections of any country. In Canada *pokes Gigo* there's a point on the corners of the provinces of Manitoba, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, and... "Northwest Territories"... I don't know what that is; I'm not really in to Canada's provinces that much; I just pulled up this map..

hey i haven't done the for corners yet either!! but responding to Christmas, I also am writing a book!! and i totally agree, girls can dream!! whats yours about? anyway anyone here agree with me that Nita & Kit should have kissed already, and that The Dairine/Roshaun thing is kinda funny? the people in the other chat thought that the D/R was gross and that Kit and Nita could be just friends but come on the K/N suspense is really killing me here

It was created to do that...now no one can ever cease to read the books till they find out what happens. :P and i juust want to do the four states thing...don't know why, it's just kind of cool i suppose. *shrugs* and i spent slightly more thought into it at earlier times i think..
still, i have to wonder (perferably before kli does)

Two things... one, there are other topics to talk about writing books (I believe; if not, it'd be a nice one to start ). Two, I just happened to think of it. I ask the same question for Harry Potter Speculation thread, as this is a Youngwizards site... and also for college... television... iPhones... movies... glasses.... *Goes through the whole Chatter II list* Those topics are just there; someone decides that they'd be interesting and wanted to share them with other people and have some good discussion. This is what Chatter II's for, right? "A place to talk about stuff that may only slightly involve the "Youngwizards" books (or not at all)." That seems self-explanatory to me.

a place to have discussions, and share interesting oppinions, yes...i'm not entirely certain that a topic about whether you'd prefer to stand in various states, or various countries at the same time actually is actually a good topic for THIS sight. (It's not necessarily such a big deal on a site that's free to maintain, when they give you a place for random things, but it might not be appreciated by the admins...)
of course i could be wrong. Though if we ARE going to form a topic like this, i think we should at least stay on topic in said topic. :P Still, i suppose as long as the admins don't have a problem with it, it's not a big deal. *enjoys randomness personally, as long as no one gets in trouble for it.*

WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT!!!...

...I just thought of an error in the concepts of my topic. It's not that easy to stand in two countries at once.... I mean, on the U.S. border, anyway, they check your belongings and such, and there are fences around so I doubt you'd really get the opportunity to stop and stand in the middle of the road like some idiot, saying "Woo-hoo! Look at me, I'm in two countries at once!", without a security person... er... giving you a dirty, confused look and telling you to move on. It may be easy to do this elsewhere, but as far as I'm aware it wouldn't be easy to stand in two countries at once....

You've got a point there. Maybe if you were in Europe it would be easier, seeing as there are so many small countries. By the way when is the next chat, anybody know?

If you're referring to a DD chat, you can normally find that in Next DD chat. It's usually also listed on Gateway page. The next one isn't listed, though; it's only been a couple weeks since the last one. They're once monthly (as I said in the Welcome message I PMed you! ).

Technically, I've done both. For the two countries, I've been in both Mexico and the USA at the same time, and also I've been in Canada and the USA at once. Of course, for those I was in the car...but they still kinda sorta count And for the multiple divisions thing, over spring break while we were visiting our grandparents we climbed a mountain where you could see at least 7 states (I think that's how many it was, I'm not sure of the exact number actually) It was absolutely_beautiful, but that was because we were on top of a mountain looking down, not really because of seeing so many states (couldn't really tell the difference between them anyways...) Borders are relatively subjective anyways; there are very few of them that can actually be seen when you're actually looking at the Earth, so borders are basically just imaginary lines, just like latitude and longitude, but no one goes to war over latitude and longitude...

I have done the two-countries-at-once thing when we drove up to Vancouver one Sunday. On our way home, we parked on the Canadian side and I got out of the car and walked through the Peace Arch.

Haven't tried it since 9/11, though. :-(

I want to stand in two countries at once in a place where there's no one around for miles. It's most likely illegal, but if no one is around, who's going to stop you? I think that would be exciting.

I want to stand in Russia and Poland. I was looking at a map and I found a little bit of Russia that's not connected to the rest of Russia and it's neighboring countries are Lithuania and Poland. So, I want to stand in Russia and Poland with no one around for miles.
