Because I'm doubting the open ocean had (has in your case) internet connections in 1789..

Cyber Mirage- Well I don't know, I can only stay in year 1789 and I can not like, go to this year and that all I do is sit here in the year... but the only thing that bothers me is how am I on chat in year 1789 when lap-tops were not invented then?
