I would love to go to London, but, I can't go. Fox, how long have you lived in Peterborough? You have only gone to London 4 times!! If I lived in England I would be at London every weekend. Geez, Z, you have a very diverse (sp?) family. Have you been to all those places?

Kathy, me and G - I love you, chime, I hate you, chime, I can't live with out you.
No everybody's from Ethiopia or Pennsylvania. They just all live in different places. My aunt has dark skin and bright red hair. (Naturally.) My family is not that diverse trust me.
Nitafan, think of it like people in Austin going to do touristy things in Houston. I live in San Diego, but I rarely drive up to L.A. It's generally not a travel destination if it's close enough to be convenient.
Fox--it's not open, yet, (September). It's taking Les Miserables's place at the Palace, which I find faintly mind-croggling all on its own. And it's going to star Michael Crawford as the bad guy. Music's by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by David Zippel (Mulan, Hercules). Based on the Wilkie Collins novel. Sounds like it's gonna be a blast.
Oh, I guess I get your point. If I did live in England I guess I woulden't go so often. It is too convienent isn't it. I still think it's neat you have family in alot of diffrent places!

Nitafan, yeah, it's kind of sad, isn't it? The thing is that travel is more a state of mind than a state of being--it's easier to get into it when you're somewhere completely different, but that doesn't mean you can't do it in your own backyard, especially because of the convenience factor.
Take a look at the town where you live from a tourist pair of eyes, and you can find some pretty neat stuff that makes your home town a lot less boring. It's kind of like Kit and Nita taking the subway in "Uptown Local." They never left New York, but they found all these cool places they didn't know existed.
Hmmm. Maybe it's that time of the decade to go to Sea World again...
Oh by the way nobody in my family lives in the state let alone the Midwest!
San Diego is a cool place. I went there once, I didn't go to sea world but I went to the Sea World in MN. (It's all indoors so it's like a super aquarium.) Hmmm I don't think I've been to anywhere else in CA but there.

Hey! I notice you're tactful enough not to despise Lee, though .
Some shops here do sell Oreos and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, but I think they're imported from the US. I haven't seen them in many shops. I haven't seen Jolt Cola in years, either .
M: Was that the Natural History Museum, the one with the dinosaur skeletons etc?
Z: Ach, du arme Z-Mädchen, wer keine Deutsch sprecht . (Oh, poor Zgirl, who speaks no German.) I don't have any cousins there, but my father's job meant we lived there from about 1965 to 1970 (I was 7-12 then).
Nitafan: There's also the trains here to cope with when thinking about going up to London. Ok, so where I used to live was only 40 or so minutes from London, but the train used to stop for 30 minutes or so just outside London (no idea why), making it a 70-minute journey and very boring.
I read a quote somewhere that "200 years is a long time in the US, and 200 miles is a long distance in the UK".
I don't speak any other language besides English. At my school, if you take orchestra or band, you can't have the other classes like art or spanish in middle school.

nitafan211 I have lived in Peterborough for approx 7 years and before that I was in Croydon which is just out side london!! The reason I don't go alot is so that London won't lose its Appeal!! That and it cost like £30/$50 each time i want to go and I get travil sick !!! And yeah M was you on about the Natural History Museum??? I love that place!! In fact I think I might and try getting down there sometime this year!!! Have not been in ages!!! Its every childs wish to go there!! I rememeber what it was like the first time I went!!! Oh that was like 11 years ago!!! Such a big building and the dino as you walk in is so impressive!!! PM you must have been loads more times than Me!! I mean I've been there twice! Which I think its too Infrequent, I mean every two to three years I think is just about right!!!
