huh. I just use a little water, and a plastic lid in the microwave so it sort of re-steams for a while. Nothing near the moisture level of zho/juk/shi-fan. Seems to work fine. But I'm not that picky over leftovers.

So, if you're making zho/juk/shi-fan/rice porridge, what do you put in it besides rice and water? I generally stick in some mung beans. Maybe some salted duck egg (I tried thousand year eggs, once, but then I could taste all my fillings—blech).

Ooh! We had Spanish food day today. Lots of peppers... *shudder* Peoples mouths were burning. Not mine! I hate spicy... I want to like spicy foods, but I don't.. No, I was stuck with the chicken. But that was REALLY good... And the coke had caffiene...

Sushi I like, mainly for the texture combo between the nori and the rice and the yummy center parts. I like the flavor of most sashimi but then you get into the weird slimy kind of texture, which I have an issue with. Thus, my favorite kind of sashimi is the shrimp kind, because it isn't slimy.

I really enjoy the usual chocolate. And my mommy is making tuna casserole for dinner, which is fabulous. Cheese, and egg noodles, and cream of mushroom soup, and tuna. That's white people soul food if I ever heard it.

Also: If you're into mexican food, chilequiles is the best. You just need some kind of shredded meat (I use beef), cheese, sour cream, salsa, and tortilla chips. You just layer it together and bake for awhile. It turns out so easy, and tastes so good. Also another white person play on mexican food. bwahahahhahahahaha.

OMG, I LOVE tuna casserole! It's one of my favorite foods and just about the only thing I like with fish in it!!! So good.

As for mexican food... bleh. We had a Spanish food day (this wasn't necessarily from Mexico) and ewww! For extra credit, I looked up a recipe and found flan. Flan is the grossest food in the world! Ugpug. Well, I haven't tried too much Mexican good, and I'm sure it's much better than I think it is, but the only things I ever get at Spanish restaurents are quesadillas.

Flan is good, but it has to be made right. The caramel sauce is the best part. I need to improve my cooking skills, and buy a deep fryer so I can make all those wonderful artery clogging things.

                Oookaaaay...

That's certainly one to try if I make it to hawaii someday.

I really like exotic foods, but the strangest thing is... my favorite food is probably fried rice. I could eat 2 pounds of that stuff. YUM.

My fried rice: Refrigerated rice (a block of it)
                Egg
                Chopped Ham (the special ingredient!)
                Green onion
                Green peas
                Soy sauce
                Garlic
                Ginger

Fry together in a wok until yummy looking and well heated.

And it keeps pretty well, too, provided you have leftovers.

I had the BEST dinner last night. We went out for tea with my grandfather, and he's really into this particular restaurant, Mr Chang's, so we went there. And we had SO MUCH chinese, which I don't usually like all that much, but I think it's growing on me- Chicken with satay sauce (mmm), sichaun fish, beef and broccoli, shredded pork with chili (really hot- by everyone's standard except mine and my brother's. ) LOTS of rice, chicken and cashew nuts, fabulous spring rolls, sweet and sour pork and... one other which I can't remember. Anyway, we ate and ate and ate and took the leftovers home, so now I have beef in my sandwiches.

I just wanted to share that.
Go ahead! Panic! Do it now and avoid the June rush! Fear death by water!

Well, Tui, that gets ME hungry. *stummik growls*

                      Mmmm...

Another thing we need is a food smiley.

Wish I hadn't been sick the day we had those porkchops. They get fried in a pan with Sauerkraut and caraway seeds for, like a million years, and then they're served with apple sauce! YUMMY! Yeah, porkchops, caraway, sauerkraut and applesauce don't seem to go together, but I assure you, THEY DO!

                        Of course they do.

That's half the point of food. It's like watching Iron Chef and learning all the nifty stuff they do when they're making these amazing things, and you wish the tv had smell-o-vision so you could enjoy. And then you wish you had the TV like on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory so that you could reach out and eat it. Combining things that don't sound like they go together makes the most beautiful food.

                        I'm a foodoholic.

                          Ingredients:
1.Chicken of the Sea Tuna (I know it's got a really annoying song but it's REALLY good tuna.)
                          2. chopped up Onions (really tiny pieces)
                          3. chopped up Celery (really tiny pieces)
                          4. Mayo
                          Steps:
1.Open the can and squish down the lid of the can over the sink so you get all the juicy stuff out. ALL OF THE JUICY STUFF!!!
                          2. Put all of the tuna into a bowl
                          3. put about two large spoonfuls of mayo into the bowl and mix it until you can't really distinguish the mayo
                          4. put in the little pieces of celery and onions
                          5. Scoop the tuna onto a slice of bread
And there's your tuna fish sandwich
