My name came from the Valdemar Companion by Mercedes Lackey. In the back of it it had a bunch of characters that had been in all of her books and I noticed one was named Cress. I really liked the name for some reason, and I started using it for everything. Before that I was Aurora Moonsong (actually on here I was...I wonder if anyone remembers that. Then I was Cress Shadowdancer, but the account went screwy and here we are). Now I use Nenfea a lot more often, or NenfeaTaiko. Nenfea means water spirit in Quenya (LOTR Elvish) and taiko is Japanese drumming (EVERYONE BOW TO TAIKO IT WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD CAUSE IT'S HOT BEYOND BELIEF). I play taiko and I'm on swim team, plus I love LOTR, so it fits. That would be my alternate name.

Knieve, I never knew someone could have a school account name like that. Did they mess up your name in the system? Or, is your school district way different than mine?

Well, I got my name after reading the latest young wizards book. I don't want to give anything away, but I liked the meaning of the word "peridexis", and also how there seems to be just one, though widespread. Like me; unique, and, I like to think, influencing those around me. It means <span class="ev_code_WHITE">the essence of magic.</span> Cool, no? Yeah, it was a brilliant epiphany; I fell in love with it, and peri is a neat nickname. XD

It is a cool name. I can't recall what the meaning was in the book. I haven't read the book since it came out. Hmmm, well since it is winter break I guess I have time to find that in the book now don't I.

I don't even remember when I first started using Piper...and there's not really any super-cool meaning behind it, I just liked the sound of it (and nooo, it has nothing to do with Charmed ) But it's been my online alias for a while now, and I use it in a lot of different places.

Trying to think what some of my others are. Hrm. Well, the other two I use most are Ariziuh, an RP charrie I have from a site I'm really involved in, and Frivolity, from another site which is my other obsession xD (The sites are www.lotrplaza.com and www.furry-paws.com, respectively, look me up if you're terribly bored lol)

Piper is a cool name. If you have ever read the keys to the kingdom series by Garth Nix there is a mention of a piper. The piper bought the "piper's children" inside the house. I can't wait for the next book Lady Friday now that I am thinking about it.

when did Sir Thursday come out??? i have the first three and i know what you're talking about spyells.... well it looks like i really need to go book shopping now... i feel ashamed that i didn't Sir Thursday's already out

I got Elita Justice from a book I used to be writing, where Elita was the main character. i was young and in love with the name. Then I found out the name I loved was also the name of, dun dun dunnnn, lingere (sp?) so that went down the drain, but I'm not going to change it on here. Then I went through a phase of "stella of the stars" or "stellaots", but that passed quite quickly as well. Now I use "Droplets of Serenity" for everything I need a name for, and I don't think that'll change soon. On how I got Dropelts of Serenity, I have NO clue. Thanks

Billybobjr. - I didn't know that I was to choose a name that would show up everywhere on the site!

Yoda - After the second or third Star Wars movie came out I loved Yoda and got my name changed to Yoda!

Monkey - I asked Gryphon to draw me a monkey avatar and she suggested that I change my name to Monkey and so I did.

Dairine - Lee accidentally changed my name to MonkeyMum instead of my mum's so her and I switched accounts leaving me with Dairine.

There is the story behind all my nick names on this site and I am trying to get my name changed back to Monkey but Lee is too busy and Diane doesn't know how.

Sir Thursday came out early in 2006. It looks like someone has some catching up to do.
