Why did you choose the username you did?

I really want to know because I've seen some...unusual...usernames, avatars, and sigs out there and I'm curious as to why pple chose them.
I choose papercrane because I was thinking random thoughts, and it just seemed...me. Tho I haven't done origami for awhile. I found my avatar on originalicons.com while I was looking for a new im thingy, and I choose my current sig because I love superchic[k]!

Well. Birdhead. I don't happen to think it's very unique but... I chose the nick Birdhead for a multitude of reasons.
-I've used it before. It's also part of my e-mail address.
-My first given name is Tui, which is a type of bird. The head bit is a pun on my last name.
-I'm occasionally scatty... hence birdbrain.

My sig.... OK, my sig's confusing. I probably need to change it sometime...

Tui's my name, it'a a bird, and Aotearoa is the Maori name for NZ, where I live.

This is because at the time I wrote this particular sig, GE was under a lot of debate. I was sick of the inevitable stigma that people who support GE (that's me) are also capitalist consumer coldhearted scientists. (I'm NOT.) I support scientific development as well as conservation. Hello.

Uh, that was after a discussion in which I ended up writing our maniacal laughter. I thought I may as well shove it in my sig and make participants (uhm.. Rysade was there. Other people too but I specifically remember Rysade) smile from time to time. It's actually lifted from a Terry Pratchett book, Maskerade. "What kind of a person would actually write out maniacal laughter?" Well, me apparently...

Spelling Freak and Typo Queen

Because I hate it when people spell things wrong and try to correct them, yet am subject to numerous typos, which I HATE. It's also EMBARRASSING (Sigh. Is there a double r?) to tell people to capitalise their Is and then to say in your next post "well, i think..." or to have to Edit your post three times to get rid of pelling mistakes. I try, anyway.

As for my avatar: it's tui on a kowhai branch. Pretty, isn't it? *grins*

I picked my user name because: As many of you should know. My first name is Diego and my middle name is Bernardo and I live in Puerto Rico and that's were the whole db_pr thing comes out. I didn't make up the name. It was when I was trying to register with Yahoo that the website automatically picked it as an option for me, I liked it and now I've been using it ever since.

I picked littlehorse because I love riding and horses. I'm actually really tall for my age (it SUCKS: you can't find any pants that are long enough), so don't be fooled by the "little." So, why did I pick littlehorse if I'm not little? Because I thought it sounded catchy and it's a whole lot better than "tallhorse." That would be really dumb.

Hah! I can't actually remember why I chose marniebrown1 anymore..... except that I used it in the chat room once (got in BIG trouble for being there) and so I used it. NO calling me that under ANY circumstances. It's Agent M. Rysade or Birdhead nicknamed me that after I told people to just call me M.

Agent M: I remember when some people asked you why you chose that particular username if you hated it, and you said that your cousin or something used Marnie Brown as a character in a story? and she wanted you to use it. I think. But then, I could be wrong, and it's really sad that I remember stuff like that, isn't it?

As to why I picked my username: 'E' stands for electronic and is also the first letter of my given name, Ella, which is what I ask people to call me here. The 'Wizard' part is obvious, as to the '11', well, it was my age at the time I joined (I'm twelve now and soon I'll be 13!!) and also just a number I like.
My avatar-*shrugs* patriotism. I like the American flag. It was just the one that caught my eye.
My sig changes a lot, whenever I find a new quote that I like. Except the *Ella* part, the *Ella* part stays the name, as it is my given name, which doesn't change. As for the current quote on there *shrugs* what can I say? I love the Princess Bride. And my favorite quote from there is too long to put on a sig, so I used that one.

I chose Rad for three reasons. It's a shortened version of a name I made up a few years ago. It is also my Wizard name (long story). I use it out of habit when I don't use my real name. Oh, and I'm 17. I think it's so cool that me and jen were in a place no one here knows about to my knowledge...and I'm not about to tell unless jen gives me permission.
