Well that's a little like asking what happens after death isn't it PK? I mean we don't know what happens after death let alone what we do. But he would probably be happy all the same.

Well, Ed isn't strictly alive to get bored...I think that's one of the eternal questions about eternity. Timeheart seems to be a pretty blissful place, and doing may not be a problem--enjoying may be all that one has to do.

Do sharks get bored? It just doesn't seem to me to be in Ed's repertoire somehow, though of course we haven't seen the personality of any other sharks by which to compare him.

I do believe that Ed was/is the original Master Shark.

Also, kind of a random thought and not based on much, but did anyone else see something of the Lone Power in him? Nita's description of seeing him in Timeheart at the end: "...the true dark angel, the unfallen Destroyer, the Pale Slayer who never really dies..." I know these are titles describing the Master Shark, but don't they sound an awful lot like the Lone One as well? I don't think Ed is the Lone One, but he does remind me of It.

And the Dragon's song, so wild and strong,
Fell from the sky like rain
Upon my soul; which, watered well,
Bloomed with a joy no words can tell
Where once was a dusty plain.
