I've been wondering about this for a while--I've noticed that it takes a subtle significance in both the feline wizards series, where Ith was speculating about the fives-and-sixes dualty; and Stealing the Elf-King's Roses, in which it's the number of "core worlds" in the local world-sheath (which, I suspect, is the same world-sheath that contains our/the YW's world).
So. Has anyone noticed more of these in DD's other works? And does anyone know any specific significance that's been tied to the number eleven in "real-world" mythology?
