Meadowbrook Parkway

(Also known as "the Meadowbrook" or "Meadowbrook State Parkway") A north-south [[Long Island]] highway originally built starting in the 1930's to facilitate access to [[Jones Beach]] and take some of the pressure off the Wantagh Parkway just to the west.
The Meadowbrook Parkway runs close to [[Nita]]'s and [[Kit]]'s homes in [[Hempstead]], passing about an eighth of a mile away from the eastern boundary of their high school's grounds. A wooded spot inside the northeastern lobe of the Meadowbrook's exit M6W-E cloverleaf exchange with the [[Southern State Parkway]] is where Kit was constructing a spell when the local trees tipped Nita off to his presence there.
