Hah, that always makes me laugh when people say YW is a thing to read after Harry Potter...Not only was the 1st book written when Rowling was in college, they have really nothing in common except the 'wizard' in the title. 
Not that Harry Potter's bad- quite the contrary!
Mine is that, when I was ten or so, I saw So You Want to Be a Wizard- the edition with the blue cover and Kit and Nita on the hardened-air stairs- at my local library and wanted to read it very much because of the cool cover. It took me a few tries to work up the courage to check it out, though! But once I did, I loved it from the first chapter.
Then I found out there were other books....and our library account was suddenly loaded with YW titles.
I can't wait for A Wizard of Mars! Got any theories about it?
